Description Bro 2008-07-24 21:19:27 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Mac OS X (Fink) Packages

Hi,

I am using digikam 0.9.4 (and kipi-plugins 0.16beta1).

I am looking to export some images in a html gallery (or whatever), the images I want to export are within an album (let's say Album1) with a tag (let's assume it is Tag1). There are photos with Tag1 outside the Album1, but I do not want to export them, and of course I do not want to export the whole Album1. There is no easy way (not obvious anyway).

The export window allow me to choose the picture by selecting tags, albums... but the operator is "or" and I need "and". This is not convenient, do I need to create a tag only for this export? At this point it could be nice to use the "search" engine from digikam, with the option to choose the simple or advanced one, and then review the pictures (number of pictures selected, name and path, then thumbnail -if desired to save time-).

Cheers.

Export Selection have been very improved with KDE4 port of digiKam. Look these screenshots for details :

Well, why just not make search earlier, save search and use it from
export album? It is possible in 0.10.

IMO this is INVALID.

Hi,

Happy to know that this is solved in the next version (ie 0.10). I am looking forward to getting it, when it will be released (if anyone as succeed to make 0.10 work on macosx, tell me, I'll give it a try! If not I'd rather wait for, at least, KDE 4.1 to be released on macosx before trying, coming soon).

Bro,

Yes, digiKam & co compile fine under MAC-OSX and in native mode, not using Fink.

I'm not MAC-OSX user, but Gustavo Boiko, a KDE core developper as ported code as well.

Try to contact it for details: http://www.gustavoboiko.org/blog/about-2/

This problem is fixed with new HTML Gallery tool from digiKam core 5.6.0.
