Description Mihaela 2008-07-24 02:06:51 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.5)
Installed from: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux

I changed the option for colors (calendar, category), after that I opened Help document. While viewing the help Korganizer crashed, bt is bellow.

I also noticed something strange, instead of showing an icon on the panel tray the icon was displayed on my desktop in a normal window. The bg of the window was transparent, I have it set like that for terminal, maybe this is relevant. I think the window title was K daemon or similar.
I'm not sure but I think the window issue only occurs after I relogin. I noticed the same issue with the icon in a window with Knotes. I have Knotes and Korganizer listed in sessions under Startup programs. On fedora9 there is no GUI to set Autologin or TimedLogin, I set it up manually in gdm.shemas, this might also be relevant.

Comment 1 Dominik Tritscher 2008-07-27 14:05:43 UTC
I can't reproduce that crash with Korganizer 4.1RC1 from Kubuntu packages.
Can you check the version of your KOrganizer again? AFAIK KDE 4.0.x didn't came with KDE-PIM4, so could you add your KOrganizer version too?
Comment 2 Mihaela 2008-07-27 15:19:52 UTC
Sorry I should have checked this before, I got the KOrganizer version from the generation bug report, and kdebase from yum info.

But when I go to Help > About it says:
KOrganizer 3.5.9 (Using KDE 3.5.9-16.fc9 Fedora)

Will KDE4.1 be available through the official repos soon?
Comment 3 A. Spehr 2008-07-30 09:30:03 UTC
You'll be happy to know 4.1 is out now. Try it and tell us if we can close this bug. (I guess both the crash and the other issue.) Thanks!
Comment 4 Allen Winter 2008-10-20 22:49:14 UTC
the versions reported in this bug are confusing.
and the crash cannot be reproduced in current versions.

So i'm closing.
Please re-open if this crash happens again.
