The window decoration is missing and the keyboard is not working on screen 2.
Linux 2.6.25-2-amd64, Debian Lenny
X.Org X Server 1.4.2 + fglrx
Asus Radeon 9600 SE

Workaround:
kwin --replace in terminal
Comment 1 lucas 2008-07-23 13:28:48 UTC
If someone could create an English summary of that thread it would be a great help. Guessing dualhead mode, quite possibly a misconfiguration of X as the keyboard isn't working.
Comment 2 Jaap van Wingerde 2008-07-23 20:47:16 UTC
Dualhead mode indeed. With Gnome everything is fine. Also after "kwin --replace" in a terminal. So it is no misconfiguration of X.
Comment 3 Jaap van Wingerde 2008-07-28 22:36:39 UTC
Synaptic installed Debian testing package kwin version 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-4. The problem is not solved.
Comment 4 lucas 2008-07-29 01:35:40 UTC
I think I'm getting this problem. It's not that it's not starting, KWin is starting but it crashes with a QVector assert the moment a window is displayed on it.
Comment 5 Jaap van Wingerde 2008-08-07 14:03:53 UTC
Problem not solved with Debian testing (Lenny) package kwin version 4:3.5.9.dfsg.1-5.

Keeping open until I can confirm.
Comment 12 Christos Gourdoupis 2008-12-23 23:01:27 UTC
The bug is still there in 3.5.10 (openSUSE 11.1, released 2008-12-18)
I've been getting it for some months. At least since 11.0 (with KDE 3.5.9).
Comment 13 Nick Shaforostoff 2011-02-21 14:45:39 UTC
