When viewing the GPS data in a browser (metadata tab - gps - more infos) the Konqueror ist started by default. Please replace it with the standard webbrowser of the system!

Hi,

I agree, and if in addition there were the option to use a custum web browser that would be even better.

[My life-opinion] I am using digikam on MacOSX via fink, it works fine, however having Konqueror opening every time I want to open a link from digikam is a pain.

I understand that digikam being based on kde greatly improves/speeds the development process, but having to *run* all kde app is a bit heavy to carry. I bet this prevent some people from using it. I do not mean to remove kde dependences I mean to make it more discreet, subtil. [\My life-opinion]

The new digiKam 5.7.0 will use an internal version of the powerfull Chrome browser based on Qt::Webkit framework. It used to display external links from application as the huge documentation for ex.
