Description Petr Bartos 2008-07-21 21:06:38 UTC
Version: 0.12.7 (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Mandriva RPMs
OS: Linux

When repeatedly clicking on systray icon, maximized browser window is displayed below position from which it was minimized before (also when minimized by auto-hide). This way browser window can be moved off-screen.
Comment 1 Stefan Sarzio 2008-07-22 14:32:04 UTC
Browser window? Is that the one containing the contact list/roster?

I cannot reproduce this bug on Kubutu 8.04, KDE 4.1 RC 1 - neither with a truely maximized window, nor with a "normal" window(size) which is not maximized.
Comment 2 Petr Bartos 2008-07-22 15:26:16 UTC
Yes, browser window is window with contact list, and maximize is meant maximize from systray to normal size.
I did more testing and problem appears only with compiz-fusion (0.7.6) enabled. But e.g. amarok and kpowersave works ok, kopete and opera don't.
Comment 3 Matt Rogers 2009-03-27 03:58:15 UTC
has this improved with newer releases of compiz? I don't really think that this is a kopete bug, but I'll wait before closing just yet.

We need more information to reproduce and fix this bug. If you could provide the information requested in the previous comments and then reopen this bug, we'll take another look at fixing it.
Comment 5 Petr Bartos 2009-09-09 07:09:29 UTC
Sorry to reply so late, but I've switched to KDE 4 and KWin with Mandriva 2009, so I did not care about this problem. But now I tried to enable Compiz (0.8.2) in KDE 4.2.4 and bug is still there. Difference is that now window does not move downwards, but moves to the right.
