The datebar in the bottom of the KPA menu & thumbnail view is not very attractive and could use some KDE4-styled polishing. Support for KDE theme colours, SVG graphics, something?

I would like to see a granularity slider that works similar to the icon size slider in dolphin.  One month is to coarse and one week is too fine.  Maybe let it be a spinner of any user selected number of days per "bucket".

It would also be cool to be able to select a subset of the histogram and have it work as a date range filter on the currently selected set of photos/videos.
