Version: (using KDE 4.0.98) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Installed Kphotoalbum 3.1.1 from Ubuntu Hardy repos. kipi plugins are recommended to install but not required. The following goes for the KDE4 SVN version I run (rev 834494). So anyway, I have KPA (3.1.1 and SVN) installed with no kipi. There is a plugins menu visible in KPhotoalbum. It has the 5 plugin categories (export/import/images/batch/tools) but nothing under those submenus. So I suggest (actually it was Jesper..) that there would be a menu item that would tell the user what to do to get stuff installed there. Now when a user sees an empty menu, he either thinks that: a) it's possible to install these someway or b) this software is broken/heavily undeveloped/something Depends on the user, but I'd like to give them both a hint telling that they need to install some stuff.
Fixed in rev. #933689. I simply disable the sub menus when there is nothing in them. That ought ot be clear enough to the end user.
