Description Risto H. Kurppa 2008-07-19 23:26:56 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.98)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages

Events category would be a handy category to have in addition of the categories we have now (=places, people, keywords).

Events could then be like:
-parties
  -birthday
    -mom 60
    -me 30
  -farewell
   -me to USA
  -home parties
-parades
  -Labour's day 2008
-weddings
  -me&my wife
  -sister
  -friend

I suppose at the moment many of us do this with 'keywords' category. I think it's not as good since actually having 'wedding' and 'cake' in the same category doesn't make that much sense. So I try to have items/stuff that you can see in the picture in the keywords category and event is more of a metastuff, in what kind of situation was the picture taken.

I think Digikam has events as well bu default, not sure.

OK, replaced Keywords with Events in the default setup that people will get. Risto, please do the same in the demo databse you are creating.
