Description Mark Fairbairn 2008-07-19 12:46:29 UTC
Version: 0.12.7 (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

It would be nice to have support for Yahoo Japan messenger which uses a different network to the usual Yahoo Messenger service.
As I understand it - the networks are almost identical so perhaps it would just need some URL additions (?)

Kopete already supports Japanese input through scim / skim.
Currently the only messaging client in linux to support Yahoo Japan is Pidgin - but it does not have webcam support.

Hello from the KDE Bugsquad!

Unfortunately, Yahoo has discontinued the Yahoo Messenger service, and the code has been removed from Kopete.

Thus, I am closing this bug as "UNMAINTAINED" since it will no longer be fixable, or able to operate due to Yahoo.
