The handles or toolboxes on Plasmoids fade in too slowly.  If you sit down to really personalise your desktop, you have to be prepared to spend a second waiting for each thing to appear.  If you miss your click, it will fade out (also quite slowly), and then you'll have to wait for it to fade in again.  If you are manipulating a good number of widgets (trying out several positions for each one, for example), you could easily spend a total of a whole minute just waiting for it to finish being pretty.  It's like it's subtly trying to annoy you.

Still annoyingly slow in KDE 4.1.0.
