Description Christian Nitschkowski 2008-07-18 16:43:18 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.98)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

When clicking on a contact in the contact list window, the contact list is focused.
Instead, the focus should go to the text area in the message window.
If I remember correctly, this was the behaviour in kopete for KDE3, so this would be a regression.

Sounds more like the double-click vs. single-click for opening to me: Please check that in System Settings => Keyboard & Mouse => Mouse => General => "Single click to open files and folders" is activated.

Single click is enabled.
The chat window even gets opened (or raised if it was already open and minimized or in the background).
Comment 3 Dominik Tritscher 2008-07-20 16:38:36 UTC
Can't reproduce that with the same KDE version from Kubuntu packages. Focus goes correctly to the text input field.
Comment 4 Michael 2008-07-22 14:07:50 UTC
Cant reproduce here, too.

If i do a single click on any of the contacts, the chat window opens and the input box has focus.

Can't reproduce it now anymore.
Thanks for trying to reproduce this anyway...
