Version: (using KDE 4.0.98) Installed from: Debian testing/unstable Packages It is not possible to configure the plasma panel to allow application windows to cover it. So the panel often covers important parts of configuration windows. E.g. kmail's configuration dialog is too large to fit into a 1024x768 screen just because the bottom button row (ok, cancel etc.) is covered by the plasma panel. In KDE3 it is possible to configure kicker the way that windows are able to cover it and it comes back in front when you e.g. move the mouse cursor to the bottom display border but when you click on the application window you have again the window in front of the panel. Precisely this behaviour is missing for the plasma panel. It's your decision to treat this as bug or wishlist entry. Concerning small displays/low display resolutions IMHO it clearly is a bug but on display resolutions huge enough for the windows it might be just a wish for a little more convenience.
we categorize all unimplemented kicker features as 'wishlist'. it will be done eventually, though. :)
