Version: (using KDE 4.0.98) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages Compiler: GCC 4.2.3 OS: Linux Right click the plasma icon in upper right corner of the screen. Choose Add Panel. The new panel sits on top of the old icon, and also half of its drop-down menu is obscured.
this works just fine here; perhaps i'm not understanding your report. can you provide a screenshot?

yes, that's what i thought you mean, and unfortunately i can't reproduce it.
Here's how to reproduce the issue. 1. Zoom out with the plasma toolbox icon. 2. When your zoomed out resize the panel big or smaller a little. 3. The icon now moves into the corner where the panels can overlap it. I have two panels at the top and normally the plasma toolbox is below the panels on the right like a panel should be underneath it.
