Description m.wege 2008-07-17 16:03:05 UTC
Version: Unbekannt (using 4.00.98 (KDE 4.0.98 (4.1 RC1)), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-17-generic

I could not find a place, where to exactly submit it. When changing to cristal SVG, it appears that the icon set is largely unmaintained. Is this true? Icons missing or not the proper ones, which where ok in KDE3.5

Crystal icon set is mantained by Everaldo, you should inform him about this issue: http://www.everaldo.com/

Comment 2 James Richard Tyrer 2008-11-30 19:31:01 UTC
You are correct that Crystal SVG is basically not maintained.

Comment #1 is not really correct as Everaldo is now supplying icons simply called "Crystal". Unfortunately, he has not yet produced an icon set with the new FD.o icon names.

I volunteered for the job of maintainer for the older icon sets in the KDEArtWork package although I really only work on the KDEClassic icons. These icons need to be renamed and rationalized to function properly with KDE4 and the new FD.o icon names. However, my initial efforts met with general opposition. So, I discontinued work on the project. As a result, very few icons have been renamed and some of those that have been renamed have names that are not those that KDE uses.

I presume that your bug report is about the fact that the CrystalSVG icons in KDEArtWork do not have the correct names to function with KDE4.

This is certainly not an invalid bug.

So, I will accept assignment of the bug although I will not be working on it until previous conflicts can be resolved.
Comment 4 m.wege 2008-11-30 19:43:33 UTC
Thanks for this comment. I already wrote a mail to Everaldo. Can you elaborate on the conflict? I really would like to have crystal icon set back, I am not really a fan of the new one. What can be done to resolve the conflict? Is it possible to help (with the conflict and the corrections)? At the moment the icon set unusable and it should either be fixed for the release or removed until its fixed.

Thanks James for your explanation :)

This is a 3rd-party theme and is not maintained by KDE. Please report downstream.
