Some times I open kickoff, move to the applications tab and the scrollbars don't appear, so I can only access the items at the top of the list. If I reopen kickoff, the scrollbars might appear. Something that might be relevant is that some times the scroll area height is wrong, which means that I can scroll over some white space after the items in the applications list. I should also mention that I resize the menu once I log in, in order to display the 9 favourite items without scrollbars.

been fixed in 4.1 already
