Description Luciano Leveroni 2008-07-16 17:18:46 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

I've been experiencing some graphical glitches in the Panel controller since a few weeks ago. This problem appeared from the first time on early 4.1 releases, when the controller was introduced. Then it was solved but wince a few weeks a ago it has shown up again. Specifically, hovering any of the buttons will make them turn gray/white (partially or totally) and ugly.
I'm using 4.1 SVN (4.1 branch from less than a week ago) on a Nvidia card (binary drivers).

I hope this gets fixed before 4.1 final release because its quite ugly and annoying. :S

Are you using a NVIDIA card, by any chance?

Nevermind, I didn't read the report well. AFAIK it appears to be a NVIDIA specific problem as I too have these glitches on a PC with a NVIDIA card (4.1 RC1), but none of the sort on my Eee (neon nightly).

upstream nvidia driver problem, not a plasma bug.
Comment 4 Luciano Leveroni 2008-07-17 03:39:44 UTC
I thought this could be nvidia, but as I don't have this problem in any other widget and a few weeks ago the same buttons were working fine (and I haven't updated the drivers or qt, only kde) so I thought this could be plasma.

Anyway, thanks for the info. Hope nvidia people solve this soon :@
