Version: Version 0.50.80 (using KDE 4.0.83) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux Hi Kopete This feature was present in earlier releases. It worked the same as "on-line" user notification. Where the user that came on-line will appear for a short while, but the pop-up will then disappear again. Can or does this feature exist for "Messages Notification". New messages for users will appear in a pop-up windows but will close after a certain period. At the moment it appears but you have to click on the notification pop-up to get rid of it. If this feature does exists, please tell me howto because I have looked and can't find the feature. Will be able to help test :) Thanks Nardus
What is your kopete version? In the one coming with KDE 4.1 RC1 and later, popup messages for the active chat window (if activated, default is not to show them) have a timeout. When switching to a chat window that triggered a popup, the popup is closed automatically. Other popups for new messages do not timeout, but you can trick it to timeout by activating "Treat chat windows on the current desktop like active chats" in Kopete settings and have the active chat show a popup in the kopete notification settings.
This happen when I am on different Desktop's. I use 6 Desktop's. I normally open my active chats on Desktop 2. I also open my konsole on Desktop 5 where I ssh to different servers. When I work on Desktop 5, I want to see the pop-up's with the messages in side but it must disappear without me needing to clink on it. That way I can follow or know about a chat messages without interrupting my work to much. Hope this make more sense :)
As far as I know this was implemented in KDE SC 4.5.0. Closing this bug.
