Version: (using KDE 4.0.83) Installed from: SuSE RPMs One should be able to give a movement/resize strategy for plasmoids. Some plasmoids like the comicstrip tend to resize from time to time (eg a square comic appears). Unfortunately this can make the plasmoid to be partly off screen, altough there wouldve been enough space above/right of it. Itd be nice if it was possible to define some kind of anchor or something for plasmoids so this wont happen so often. It could as well be solved by a panel, thats "totally unimportant" (no snapping and stuff). greetings from me
this was supposed to be a wish not a bug, can i change it somehow?

I can see this bug is open for some time now. Don't know about other plasmoids, but this is _extremely_ annoying in Comic. I would like my comic "box" at the bottom right corner, but when there's a bigger strip it acts stupid, here's the story with Garfield (pictures!!! ;) -> http://roslin.mlodyinteligent.pl/~lazy_bum/tmp/comic/ 1 - normal placement 2 - next strip is bigger, plasmoid gets out of the screen 3 - sometimes it magically returns like that, so all is visible 4 - going back to the first strip and it uses an "anchor" in the top left corner, so the original placement is broken. One has to unblock plasmoids, move it back and enjoy.... until next big strip. [if it wont return in step 3, you have to unblock the plasmoids etc etc.] This could be solved by new option suggested by reporter like "set anchor in": [ ] top \ [ ] bottom and [ ] left \ [ ] right and then the plasmoid would not run away from the screen and expand in proper way. Don't know if I should open new bug about this, it fits here imho.
Hello! This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
