Description Strager Neds 2008-07-13 00:53:02 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.4)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
OS: Linux

How to reproduce:
 - Have shift+arrow keys switch Konsole tabs
 - Open three Konsole tabs
 - Select the first tab
 - Hold shift and press left/right alternatively several times (~5 in most cases)
 - Konsole enters a pseudo-locked state where keyboard commands do not work properly (does not affect other applications)
 - Switch to a different tab using the mouse
 - Press a key
   - If you switched to the third tab, nothing happens
   - If you switched to the second tab, you are moved to the third tab
 - To fix, alternate selecting the second tab and pressing a key
   - After pressing a key, you are moved to either the first or third tab (alternating)

Expected behavior:
 - Tabs should switch normally when the shortcuts are rapidly pressed

I cannot reproduce here using KDE 4.1. Does the speed of tab switching actually make a difference or does it always happen?
Comment 2 Strager Neds 2008-07-13 03:15:02 UTC
The bug only occurs when quickly switching tabs, back and forth repeatedly.

Also, I noticed (after a bit more testing) that sometimes the affected tabs (the certain tabs which need to be selected, etc.) change.

Any strange behaviour in other tabbed KDE 4 applications?

Version 2.1 Using KDE 4.1.1 (KDE 4.1.0 (4.1 >= 20080722)) (KDEmod) in ArchLinux i686
Intel GMA x3100 using xf86-video-intel 2.3.2 :

I can't reproduce this behaviour. Can you still reproduce it with KDE 4.1 ?
