Description Thorsten 2008-07-10 11:54:45 UTC
Version: (using KDE 3.5.9)
Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package
OS: Linux

Some use miranda as their icq client and miranda has the ability for passive status detection. That means it reports the user if some invisible client is reading his statusmessage.

To avoid this I suggest to detect the status of an user who is not in the "always visible" list with the ICQ Unified Messaging Center if this is possible so that no miranda user is able to know that I am in invisible mode.

Kopete should also never answer any requests from such user.

here is a little description of the status detection from miranda in german, you can translate it with google :)

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
