Version: 1.6.6 (using 3.5.8, Kubuntu (gutsy) 4:3.5.8-0ubuntu3.2) Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22.18-co-0.7.3 I have a multi-display environment (monitor/laptop display). When I move a Konsole window from my primary display (monitor) to my secondary display (laptop), the window is unresponsive. When I move the window back to the primary display, the commands are then processed.
> When I move a Konsole window from my primary display (monitor) > to my secondary display (laptop), the window is unresponsive To clarify: - Does the window repaint itself? (When other windows are moved on top of it and then away gain for example) - Does the window accept mouse input? - Does the window accept keyboard input? > When I move the window back to the primary display, > the commands are then processed.

(When other windows are moved on top of it and then away gain for example) - JWG - no. - Does the window accept mouse input? - It did not. - Does the window accept keyboard input? - It did not while it was on the second display. I had hit return many times with no response. When I moved the window back to the primary display, the window accepted the returns and functionality returned. > When I move the window back to the primary display, > the commands are then processed.
When you move it to the second screen, do stuff, and move it back, do the results of "stuff" then appear, or was "stuff" simply lost? If the former, I suspect a window manager problem, i.e. konsole is working fine but isn't being repainted. Do any other apps (esp. glxgears would be interesting to try) have similar problems? What WM are you using? (If kwin, are you using compositing?)
KDE 3 is not maintained anymore. Open a new bug if you can reproduce with KDE4
