Version: (using KDE 4.0.5) Installed from: Fedora RPMs konsole 2.0 (kde 4.0.5) cannot send signals to session. in previous versions it was possible to send signals such as INT, HUP, KILL etc from a meny. this was very handy, now it is gone.
> this was very handy, Handy for what? If you just want to kill the session then File -> Close Tab will send SIGHUP.
Handy for debugging own applications etc ... it's not nice to just throw away functionality which has been there for ages and to which users have been accustomed to. Don't make gnome out of KDE. It's understandable that some functionality got lost during KDE3->4 porting but that's no excuse for not putting it back.

Applications accumulate lots of cruft over time. Periodic re-arrangement is often sufficient but there are times when it is good to remove little-used or obsolete functionality. Invariably this will adversely affect at least one user but I think it helps everyone else.
Closing for now. I do not plan to re-implement this unless I get more requests for it.
