Version: 0.8.1 (using KDE 4.0.4) Installed from: SuSE RPMs Compiler: gcc OS: Linux I've been using openSUSE 10.1 and really like KSNAPSHOT ver 0.7. I just installed openSUSE 11.0 and KDE 4 which has KSNAPSHOT ver 0.8.1 and the print button is missing with this version.
The print button was deliberately removed when the Open With... button was added. Although no explanation is given in the log, I guess this was because the other apps have more powerful print/editing facilities. If you have kde3 installed you can also open with... kprinter which is effectively the same as Print... supplied. (kprinter will hopefully be back in a future version of kde4 too).
the print button is not back in 4.1 RC1 lets reopen this bug and consider it as not user friendly
Lets not, this was a deliberate decision for good reasons.
Yes, sadly the Print button is gone, which removes 80% of the reasons to use Ksnapshot for me. > The print button was deliberately removed when the Open With... No wonder that with nonsense like this, people are not rushing to KDE4 (to say the least). Print is Print. When a user has a printable document open through _any_ interface, then he needs a 'Print' button to print it, period. When he needs to save, then there must be a 'Save' button. Interface 101. > Lets not, this was a deliberate decision for good reasons. And what would be a good reason to remove the 'Print' action in a interface to a printable document ? Life under KDE4 is hard enough already, don't make it impossible.
On current trunk is possible to enable PrintSc to ksnapshot. It should be possible on KDE 4.3 too.
