Description Bassio 2008-07-05 00:44:57 UTC
Version: 0.50.80 (using 4.00.83 (KDE 4.0.83 (KDE 4.1 Beta2), Kubuntu packages)
Compiler: gcc
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.24-19-generic

I think there has to be a way that informs user that kopete is trying to connect.

like for example a flashing status bar icon

even write it in the status bar .. now I have to hover over the state icon just to see if it is invisible or connecting or offline

no way to know the difference between these three states

also there seems to be no way to distinguish between offline and invisible states since the status bar does update when switching between offline and invisible. (this is in msn, I am not sure if this happens in other protocol plugins)

apologies .. I meant the status bar not the system tray icon.

It does not update between states offline and invisible..

meaning if you were in invisible state and then you went offline .. the status bar will continue holding the value invisible.

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
