Version: (using KDE 4.0.83) Installed from: Unlisted Binary Package When opening the desktop settings dialog (via right clicing on the plasma desktop), the controls are screwed up: The wallpaper-type dropdown has "image" selected, but below is no image dropdown but the controls for the image slideshow. When changing type to "slideshow" and then back to "picture", the right controls (picture dropdown) are shown. This happens only once in a KDE session, the second time the dialog is opened, everything seems fine. Logging out and logging in again allows reproducing the error.
What kdebase revision is it please? Can you take a screenshot of the wrong dialog? Thanks in advance!
Created attachment 25855 [details] screenshot of the wrong dialog This happens with kdebase4-4.0.84-2.5. Find a screenshot attached, but it is german. The word "Bild" in the dropdown means "picture", which makes the controls below obviously wrong.
I probably fixed that here http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-commits&m=121500208802911&w=2 that's why I needed the svn revision number of your kdebase4-4.0.84-2.5. What distribution is it? Can you ask them when they packaged this version and from what svn revision please?
I guess the best way is to wait the next snapshot and see if the problem is still there. If the bug is the one I am thinking of, I created it on June 29 by editing a .ui file and I fixed it on July 02.
It is from openSUSE 11 Factory, they package the SVN every 1-2 days, I think. Currently, an upgrade to 4.0.85-1.1 is running, I keep you posted if the bug is fixed there. Thanks for investigating! :-)
Ok, with openSUSE Factory 4.0.85-1.1 i can confirm this bug was successfully fixed. Thanks!
