the clear widgets overlaps text in edit box

Run konq, type in (as an address) very long addres, like
http://www.ipn.gov.pl/portal/pl/203/1581/Agresja_ZSRR_na_Polske_17_wrzesnia_1939_r.html
and observe that the clear button overlaps the text.

Unable to reproduce in SVN 828072.  Can you provide a screenshot?  What SVN version did you have this bug in?

Just a quick guess: Does it work better if you use a "normal" font, i.e. disable the italic? If that does work better its most probably a Qt bug in the QFontMetrics size-calculation.

Qt: 4.4.3 + qt-copy-patches-889120
KDE: 4.2.60 (KDE 4.2.60 (KDE 4.3 >= 20090106))
kdelibs svn rev. 907011 / kdebase svn rev. 907011
on ArchLinux x86_64 - Kernel 2.6.27.10

I can't reproduce this bug. Even when resizing the window to a minimum size and then pasting the test URL, the clear button doesn't overlap into the text

Can anyone else confirm this in KDE4.2?
