Version: 4.00.83 (KDE 4.0.83 (KDE 4.1 Beta2) (using 4.00.83 (KDE 4.0.83 (KDE 4.1 Beta2), Kubuntu packages) Compiler: gcc OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.24-19-generic Cbox chats are not correctly rendered. In most cases top frame partially covers lower one, if you scroll top frame up and down it doesn't show changes correctly, mixing them into something ... strange. If you update one of the cbox chats, encoding is not detected correctly (e.g. messages in Russian).

I can reproduce this bug in KDE 4.1.00 (KDE 4.0.99 (4.1 RC1+)) (KDEmod) in ArchLinux. Hiding and re-showing (repainting) the konqueror window displays the chat correctly
At KDE 4.1.00 (KDE 4.1 final) (KDEmod) in ArchLinux i686: the behaviour is the same as I descripted above
I can also reproduce this bug using: Version 4.1.62 (KDE 4.1.62 (KDE 4.2 >= 20080814)) kdelibs4.2 svn rev.849324 kdebase4.2 svn rev.849337 ArchLinux 2.6.25-zen2-20080814 i686
"I can also reproduce this bug using:" Yeah. But it still has "UNCONFIRMED" status. :( Though I remember similiar bugs even in KDE 3.5.x.
It seems to be fixed. The cbox rendering is now OK using KDE 4.1.3 and KDE4.2svn (kdelibs rev.890034), here on my ArchLinux x86_64 box. Can you still reproduce this bug with a recent KDE version? (4.1.3 / 4.2beta1 / 4.2svn) ? Thanks :)
Yes, It's mostly fixed, big thanks to the developers. :) It's OK with KDE 4.2 beta 1. :) Though there are still some encoding issues (if I press "refresh" and there are new messages - for example - in russian, they're displayed in the wrong encoding) and sometimes "top" frame has half of its normal height, but it's much better. Top frame never covers lower one and rendering is mostly valid (excluding encoding). :)
