Version: (using KDE 4.0.83) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux This is a feature request for KDE4, perhaps related to Folder View and Plasma. It would be great to watch the contents of a folder in the desktop. The idea would be like to click on top of a Folder, then get a quick "Folder View" window with the content of the folder and then once you click the file you want, the temporary "Folder View" closes. Thanks!
could you provide a graphical example?

It is a lame example, but perhaps you can click "TUNA" then you get a quick "Folder View" of TUNA and then you click any of the files inside and gets executed or opened and the temporary "Folder View" disappears. My goal is to remove the extra clicks or extra window just to open a file.
what you want is expand/collapse on folderview. this is already planned for some future point (and may even already be in the wishlists somewhere)
Yes, this is what I would like.
this is implemented in 4.3
