Description hugomahr 2008-07-02 11:45:16 UTC
Version: 1.9.51 (using KDE 4.0.4)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs

I do (in kmail)

  settings
  configure filters
  select an already existing entry
in the filter action field is a 'move to Local Folders/dict'
I want to change the name, e.g. 'Local Folders/foo'
This does not work as obvously I cannot edit this field.

even crashes (see below)

Hi,
I think this is not fixed in the stable SUSE 11.0 yet (or do I
something wrong?)

I have included now
Distribution: KDE:KDE4:STABLE:Extra-Apps / openSUSE_11.0
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/STABLE:/Extra-Apps/openSUSE_11.0

which gave me:
Name : kde4-kmail Relocations: (not relocatable)
Version : 4.0.80 Vendor: openSUSE Build Service
Release : 15.1 Build Date: Sa 28 Jun 2008 10:39:00 CEST
Install Date: Do 03 Jul 2008 16:59:05 CEST Build Host: build15

this stable version does not include this bugfix. It still crashes and I do not see it in the list of changes.

My workaround:
When kmail is not running I modified with an editor the file
~/.kde4/share/config/kmailrc
and changed in the section [Filter #nn] (nn = 18 for me) the filename to what I want (xxx, yyy, zzz identifiers):

action-args-0=.xxx.directory/.yyy.directory/zzz-2008-07-01

I have not used the factory version or so, as I prefer a version marked as stable.

Regards Hugo

The opensuse version does not have this fix yet, I guess.
It is however fixed in the KDE repository, and KMail 1.10.0, which will ship with KDE 4.1, will not have that bug.
opensuse ships an early better version of KMail, but they probably will have an online update soonish.
