Version: (using KDE 4.0.83) Installed from: SuSE RPMs OS: Linux Hi, Currently if I open Konsole and maximize it if I close it and run konsole again doesn't remember the window size, the window isn't opened maximized. In KDE3 works fine.
Works correctly for me. Steps tested: 1. Run "konsole" from a terminal 2. Maximize window 3. Close window 4. Start "konsole" from terminal again - size is preserved Alternatively 1. Click File -> New Window from existing terminal 2. Maximize new window 3. Close window 4. Open new window via File -> New Window - size is preserved
I found the problem. In openSUSE the font used by default is Monospace, size 8. If I use this font in konsole size is preserved but if I change it to Monospace, size 12, the size of the window of konsole is not preserved. Please, test it, thanks.
> In openSUSE the font used by default is Monospace, size 8 Is this the font size used by menus and dialogs in Konsole or the font size for terminal text? Monospace is not actually a real font. Can you run: fc-match Monospace In a terminal to get the real name of the font and post the result?
This is the output of fc-match Monospace: andalemo.ttf: "Andale Mono" "Normal" This is the font used for terminal text.
Present in 4.1.0.
when i use Dejavu Sans Mono Size 10, and maximize the konsole window, close it; next time it seems not remender i maximized it, and show up a small window Archlinux, KDE4.1.1 Konsole Version2.1
Hi, I have a suspicion that Andale Mono is not actually a monospace font which might explain the strange behavior. Does it show up in Konsole's font selector dialog? (Settings -> Edit Current Profile -> Appearance -> Edit Font)
Yes, Andale Mono shows up in Konsole's font selector.
Do you still have this issue on a recent KDE version? 4.5.x or 4.6.
