Version:           0.50.1 (using KDE 4.0.4)
Installed from:    Fedora RPMs
OS:                Linux

When I set the chat window to show its participants
their nick is shown instead the name I assigned to them
from my address book.
I want to request a feature to configure what is going to be show
in the participants view, their nick, id (email, icq number etc...)
alias or addressbook name (maybe they will be the same)

I agree, the group chat participants should be displayed with the addressbook name (or the name of the metacontact).

Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained.

Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat.
