Description András Manţia 2008-06-29 11:15:35 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

Plasma from 29th July, nvidia 7600GS using binary driver 173.14.09. Plasma and Xorg together use almost 100% CPU. The problem goes away if I remove plasma-appletrc. Attached are the content of the problematic plasma-appletrc and a cachegrind output ( valgrind --tool=cachegrind --trace-children=yes plasma --nofork
). The high CPU usage is reproducible if I put back the attached config file. The display has a 1680x1050 main display and a 800x600 secondary display for TV-Out. xorg.conf attached as well.

Forgot to explain the title: removing the task manager applet fixes the problem. Readding it makes it appear again. When starting with a clean plasma-appletrc, the task manager causes no problem.

Updated and the problem is gone. :)
