Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

In KDE 3.5.x, the multimedia keys (Vol Up/Down and Mute) in my laptop were detected and worked perfectly out of the box. With KDE 4, I can not use them (they are still detected by xev, though). 

I am using a HP-Compaq nc6120, with an Intel Centrino CPU and a Intel 915 motherboard. I am running a KDE 4.1 Beta 2 updated today.
