Description Bohan 2008-06-27 02:37:36 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.83)
Installed from: SuSE RPMs
Compiler: gcc 4.3.1 openSUSE 11.0 official build
OS: Linux

When I resize the following plasmoids:

logout
kget
pager

the size is correct only during that session, after I logout they return to the default size, causing messy overlap of plasmoids (U had them close together).

Any news on that Bohan please?
Comment 3 Bohan 2008-06-30 10:05:26 UTC
The problem is basically gone in 4.0.84. One of the changes that has
helped to solve it is that fact that the KGet widget no longer allows
you to resize smaller then the default.

Attached are images that show the *exact* size and position of
plasmoids are not retained. I don't really consider the extend of the
problem as major anymore. I am just curious how it occurs (obviously
nobody wrote code especially to move them around when the user logs
out). Pleas feel free to mark as invalid if you fell I am just picking
needles out of a haystack, I really didn't mean to.

The only widget I can see that has changed size in your screenshots is the fuzzy clock, but that's simply because the time has changed to one that requires more text to display.

I have the same issue since one or two update of my Kubuntu 8.10 (I'm updating from Neon Project repository).
