Version: 4.0.3 (using KDE 4.0.3) Installed from: Ubuntu Packages OS: Linux When I try to open a new window in konqueror with the shortcut <crtl> + <n> i crashes. How to reproduce: * start konqueror from the command line with a command like "konqueror /home/" * presh <crtl> + <n> and konqueror crashes Expected behaviour: Konqueror opens a new window. Something strange: Konqueror does not crash when in the starting page (eg. it is started with the command "konqueror").
I cannot confirm this with KDE trunk (soon-to-be-4.1).

@Henrik: could you reproduce the crash using more updated packages? (like 4.1-beta2 for example?)
I can reproduce this on 4.0.5 (Kubuntu 8.04), but not on the current SVN trunk version. Running "/usr/lib/kde4/bin/konqueror /home" and pressing Ctrl-n leads to a crash. However, I'm unable to get a better backtrace although I installed debugging packages for kdebase and kdelibs :-(
Let's assume it's a bug in KDE 4.0 and fixed in KDE 4.1 then. Three other people weren't able to reproduce.
