Version: (using KDE 4.0.80) Installed from: SuSE RPMs Would be fine allow auto-hide functionality for panels snapped to border of screen. It's a similar or the same as https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=157732 and mentioned in the https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152696

The missing auto hide functionality is the sole reason I don't switch to KDE 4. I don't like wasting screen space for things I don't need to see all the time.

> The missing auto hide functionality is the sole reason I don't switch to KDE 4. +1 If there was at least a patch that would enable a simple auto-hide, I would switch to KDE 4 immediately. No need for breathtaking effects and animations. A panel disappearing two seconds after the mouse cursor leaves it would exactly match my needs.
Good news. Auto hide functionality appears and works in my current version KDE: 4.1.2 (KDE 4.1.1 (KDE 4.1 >= 20080828)) "release 52.3" You can activate it throught the "More settings" button. http://www.abclinuxu.cz/data/prilohy/1/7/122071-kde-panel-autohide-31989.png
@ladislav: I have version 4.1.3 and still don't have the "more settings" option. what distribution are you on?
