Version: (using Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources OS: Linux When I click on the "get new wallpapers" button in plasma's desktop settings a window opens and tries to load the previews, which causes a whole bunch of kio_file processes. However the previews are not loaded, but plasma freezes, i.e. clicking on the panel does not do anything, neither can I close the window. those dbus calls and kdeinit4 calls all look extremely suspicious... like a broken installation.

This works for me with .85, i.e no blocking anymore. Yet there are other bugs, e.g. it does not load the previews displayed on the first "page" first and it adds a lot of entries to the list, which simply contain "No downloads" as description.
can confirm comment number 3 in 4.1 rc1, however i noticed something else. after closing it, then reopening it, all looked as one would expect ( ie: no "no downloads" unclickable entries, previews all loaded ) seems like something is overcalculating it the first time... yet when working from cache it correctly calculates..
This seems to work (although I can't for the life of me find what fixed it), so I'm closing WORKSFORME. I can't reproduce the other issues mentioned in the last two comments, but if they reappear in 4.1 final or trunk, please file a separate bug.
