Version:            (using Devel)
Installed from:    Compiled sources

KMenu is not correctly updated

One thing is shown in menu, another in kmenueditor (ss).

Workaround: switch to another style of kmenu and switch back. This refreshes content of Kmenu properly.

Look at KMail.

confirmed. same btw with the kickoff vs traditional menu. If e.g. an application got added to the favorites in kickoff, it's not added to the traditional classic kde3 kmenu.

This is probably a duplicate of bug 168399, which has been marked as "fixed" 2 days ago. Let's wait for the updated distro-packages...

as soon as kbuildsycoca4 is run, the menu updates.

i tested this by running kmenueditor, then checking kickoff -> no good.
kbuildsycoca4 -> check kickoff -> updated!

kmenueditor isn't triggering a proper sycoca update.. looking into that now. (not that that's a kickoff issue, of course =)

hm; ok, it is doing a proper update, assuming your d-bus environment is in order ;)
