Are you able to reproduce the crash?
bug #164702 describes the same problem which was very likely fixed with r823054 which fixes bug #152797
@Andrea: could confirm the guess which Sebastian made? You could use a more recent revision and try plasma, tell us if you're able to reproduce the crash. Thanks
yeah i've reproduced the error a couple of times. i've updated to the latest available kde4daily revision today and i can't reproduce it now anymore. what i used to do was: open several programs and then on the desktop open two folderviews and a picture frame, take one picture after the other and drop it in the frame and plasma would crash. now not anymore. congratulations! by the way: the respective icons always disappear for a little while after dragging the picture into the frame ... is that an "undocumented feature" (aka bug) or was that deliberately programmed like that? thanks again for everybody's time and sorry for not having removed the "no debugging symbols" part .. first bugreport from me on kde.org :$
