After the crash plasma restart and recover

Please provide a better backtrace, http://techbase.kde.org/index.php?title=Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports tells you more about that. Thanks in advance.

Comment 3 Sebastian Sauer 2008-06-23 06:12:16 UTC
confirmed.

how it did happen;
I had the systemsettings=>appeareance=>splash screen=>get new theme opened, right-clicked on the desktop and tried to change my wallpaper and the "please wait dialog did popup. I clicked then cancel and plasma crashed. But that happened only once and seems I can't reproduce the crash or even those pleas-wait dialog now :-/
Comment 4 Sebastian Sauer 2008-06-23 06:16:20 UTC
btw, if you look at the backtrace, please note that it looks as something really wired is going on there since e.g. the
/home/kde4/svn/_src/KDE/kdebase/workspace/libs/plasma/layouts/layoutitem.cpp
file does actually not exist. In fact it was there in KDE 4.0.x but got removed some time ago and meanwhile I wiped builddir, installdir, etc. a few times and there is also no KDE 4.0.x related thing on my system any longer since quit a while.
Comment 5 Sebastian Sauer 2008-06-23 09:14:32 UTC
hmmm... I just did note that my backtrace is 1:1 the same like those I catched at bug #164613

@giuseppe:
did you also install a plasmoid using the "Install from Internet" option? if yes, then please mark this report as duplicate of the other. Thanks in advance.

"hmmm... I just did note that my backtrace is 1:1 the same like those I catched at bug #164613"

No wonder :)

giuseppe, please verify what Sebastian Sauer asked in comment 5. Thanks.
Comment 7 giuseppe 2008-08-13 12:52:40 UTC
