Description J Martinez 2008-06-19 00:09:31 UTC
Version: 0.12.7 (using 3.5.8, Kubuntu (gutsy) 4:3.5.8-0ubuntu2)
Compiler: Target: i486-linux-gnu
OS: Linux (i686) release 2.6.22-14-generic

When configuring Kopete for a msn messenger session, it crashes immediately, causing the application to be closed. I have a Passport ID already in use, so I don't know what's wrong on Kopete.

I confirmed the bug you mentioned in gutsy. All I did was download a gutsy image, load it in virtualbox and after trying to connect to MSN, it crashed just as it connected, or just as it was fetching the contacts.

However I can't reproduce it in kde 4.0.84 in opensuse 11, and I am pretty sure I won't reproduce it either in kubuntu hardy but i'll try anyway, you should upgrade or update if possible.

Just tried kopete in kubuntu hardy and can't reproduce the bug.

I can configure and connect to msn messenger om kde4 (4.0.3; Kopete 0.50.1).
Comment 4 Matt Rogers 2008-07-07 06:03:08 UTC
I cannot reproduce with KDE 4. Please upgrade to KDE 4.1 when it becomes available and you should no longer see the crash.
