Description Pascal d'Hermilly 2008-06-15 20:14:14 UTC
Version: (using KDE 4.0.80)
Installed from: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux

I open the desktop settings dialog and click "new wallpaper". It opens the dialog to fetch from the internet and 1 second later it chrashes the whole plasma.
Also, it doesn't come back up again automatically.
I'll attach a backtrace.

I hope it's not considered rude. It's not meant to be. However, wouldn't it be wise to make sure that a thing such as a dialog can't crash the whole application? It should be possible to modularize it further, so not everything comes down.

Just curious. Can't knewstuff be isolated so that it doesn't bring down the whole desktop?
