Description Kyle Cunningham 2008-06-14 07:08:49 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
OS: Linux

I have X setup in a dual head configuration using Xinerama. I have a plasma panel on my secondary screen (0:1) which is to the right of my primary screen (0:0). When trying to use the panel configuration tool, moving the panel around the secondary screen (0:1) only works when you drag the mouse around the primary screen (0:0) and does almost nothing when dragging the mouse around the secondary screen (0:1).

Plasma should be aware of multiple monitor configurations at least so that panels can be dragged correctly on one screen and ideally panels should be draggable between screens (containments).

I too have a Xinerama setup however I have no problems moving panels over both screens. My primary is on the right of the secondary using nVidia as well.

what rev# is your build, Kyle?
Comment 4 Kyle Cunningham 2008-06-14 21:12:33 UTC
I am using the opensuse build service on opensuse 11 and I must admit I'm not entirely sure how to get the revision number in this context. Running plasma -v show the folloing: KDE: 4.00.81 (KDE 4.0.81 >= 20080527) "release 6.6". If you let me know how to figure this out I would be happy to do so.

I believe this particular issue was fixed before the release of KDE 4.1. Will close to remove cruft.
