I just recognized that korganizer is also crashing upon startup. () Since the last startup of kontact that worked well I configured two advanced reminders for two items on my Todo list (just setting up an alarm 1 day before the end of the task instead of before the beginning).
Yes, korganizer and korgac are crashing. Try removing calendar events or to-dos with binary attachments. Or just remove the attachments from those events. You may have to use another calendar program to accomplish this. There is a bug in the 3rd party libical library we are using and binary attachments are not supported very well.
Thanks for your help. Removing two binary attachments from a Todo-Event did the trick. Korganizer is working again and so is Kontact.
