Comment 1 Christophe Marin 2008-06-11 11:07:30 UTC
could you please provide a useful backtrace like explained at http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports ?
Comment 2 Anne-Marie Mahfouf 2008-06-11 11:12:55 UTC
Also indicate the version number of your KDE4 packages and what distribution please.
Comment 3 Hans Chen 2008-06-11 16:58:42 UTC
Install? How?

By the way, aren't those still in playground?
Comment 4 mlt 2008-06-11 22:11:29 UTC
I'll try the better backtrace, in the mean time: I am running KDE 4.1 on Kubuntu through the nixternal packages.

By install, I mean add to the desktop.

Looks like a duplicate of bug #164320 which was fixed with r821590 aka beta2. So, does this still happen for you with beta2? If not then please close the report. Thanks in advance and for the feedback.
Comment 6 Anne-Marie Mahfouf 2008-06-29 14:28:12 UTC
any news on this? did you try beta 2 and do you still have this crash? If so, can you please provide useful debugging information?

Thanks in advance!
Comment 7 Thomas Georgiou 2008-07-05 07:28:05 UTC
If you get the latest binary compatible packages for playground and plasma, and still have the bug, please reopen
