Version: 0.50.80 (using Devel) Installed from: Compiled sources Compiler: gcc 4.3 OS: Linux Tooltips in Kopete's contact list show up by mistake aligned to the right and a big space to the left. They should be formatted as usually.
I can't reproduce that with svn trunk, can you attach a screenshot please?
Created attachment 25253 [details] Badly aligned tooltip over the contact's name The tooltip directly over the name of a Jabber contact is badly aligned in this case. In most other cases at home, for instance the ICQ accounts are shown correctly. It seems like the problem is valid for Jabber contacts with no photos in some cases.
Created attachment 25254 [details] Tooltip over the same contact's online state symbol looks good On the other hand, if I move the cursor over the online state icon of the same contact, the tooltip looks good.
I played a bit with the tooltips and gathered one more detail about it: The bad alignment for a contact's tooltip over it's name happens only, if it has set Photo Source = "From contact" but the contact does not send any photo with its profile. After switching to "Custom" photo source and do assign any photo the aligment looks good.
I can confirm this for kopete 0.50.1
Although I still have the same version number 0.50.80 in "About Kopete" this seems to be solved for me in Version KDE 4.00.85 (KDE 4.0.85 (KDE 4.1 >= 20080703) "release 3.3", OpenSUSE 11.0 packages. It seems like Suse applied the right patch now :-) The option Photo Source = "From contact" is not allowed, if there is no photo brought by the contact from server. Is it that what you wanted to implement?
