Installed from:    Compiled sources

Example:
Open KDE4's version of kate or konqueror.
Goto File->Open.
Maximise the file dialog (I like this as I can see more files).
Make the "Places" panel smaller i.e. until the size of the icons in the panel cannot shrink further.
Open a file.
Goto File->Open.
Notice the dialog is fullscreen as before but the "Places" dialog is not in the same position and actually takes up a pointless amount of space.

I would expect the "Places" dialog to remember its position.

Which revision are you using ? Please update, now it should be fixed.

KDE 4.1 beta on Hardy Ubuntu. I'll update when the new packages come out.

This is a dup then. I wonder why you said Platform: Compiled Sources. Please provide a better information next time. Thanks anyway :)

Oops, sorry, not a dup, but I fixed it couple days ago. If it persists, please reopen it.
