Description René Krell 2008-06-10 19:21:12 UTC
Version: 1.9.51 (using Devel)
Compiler: gcc 4.3
OS: Linux

HTML formatting in composer gets lost after sending. The specific formatting can't be even seen in the "Sent messages" folder any longer. I have no idea what else to set than the "Formatting (HTML)" checkbox from menu.

Are you sure the formatting is totally lost?
KMail doesn't display HTML mails by default, and also, when sending, it creates a plain-text part and a HTML part.
The plain text part will be shown by default, so is it possible that you just didn't see the HTML part?

Try viewing the source of that mail and see if it has HTML code in it.

I can not reproduce the problem.

If you still can't see your HTML in the source, please provide me steps to reproduce this problem, preferable with a clean config (for example with a new user).

Some mailinglists (for example the KDEPIM list) also strip the HTML part of a message, so that might also be a reason why you don't see your HTML.

OK, you're right. Thanks for explaining this.
