Version:            (using KDE 4.0.4)

So when I input 00 as a test, and go to another font dialog, I will see 00.

Of course when I restart whole KDE, or logout/login, the default text should be back.

KDELibs is frozen for features in the 4.x series. 
In KDE 5.x this class is replaced with QFontDialog.

If this request is still valid it should be filed with Qt.

Closing as wontfix. Sorry.
