Description Pablo Cholaky 2008-06-09 20:09:35 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources
Compiler: GCC-4.3.0 gcc version 4.3.0 (Gentoo 4.3.0 p1.2)
OS: Linux

Some KDE menu, like systemsettings or desktop settings are too bigger for a 800x480 resolution and cant fit in the window, cant be resized too.

My wish is if can resize buttons, textbox and others if the window cant fit in the screen.

I have a EeePC and isnt nicer see a bigger window with lot of spaces and this wont fit on screen

Many Thanks.

I understand there is a techbase.kde.org page that is going through and listing components and applications with problems in small resolutions. Feel free to look it over and see if you can help improve it. I think it was for 800x600.

But is a kdelibs problem...

For example, with https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=164573, or some other unresizeable menu.

Can be great if the minimmal size can be 640x480, thinking in 7'' laptops. At least i havent problems using kde4 in 800x480, but yes using digikam is a great problem or amarok (sometimes i cant move the songlist bar, same problem in digikam) :S

I think it can be both. But ok, reassigning to kdelibs probably makes sense.

Using kde 4.1.1, and digikam still with that problem. Seems a kdelibs issue.

Too large panels with a big minimal size.

Thanks.
